Important Tips

KNOW THY CANON

Seriously, though this may be a crack RP, that doesn't mean you can fully disregard your canon. We're not saying you should know EVERY bit of it like the back of your hand, but it would be a good idea if you had a general idea of what the plot is , canon limitations, and such.

KNOW THY CHARACTER

This is a given. Try to keep your characters at least reasonably IC enough so others may be able to recognize them. Know your character's backstories(if they have one), what makes them tick, canon abilities and such and you shouldn't have much of a problem keeping them IC.

KNOW THY LIMITATIONS

In other words, don't freaking godmod. Providing that you know your canon and character, you should know that even your character's abilities have limitations to them. Just don't make them all powerful, and you'll do fine. If they ARE all powerful in canon, try to tone it down a bit. Nothing sucks more than an a godlike character sucking up all the fun, eh?

Also, know how many characters you can handle. If you barely have the time for one or two, don't pull a Setine and pick up ten characters.

PATIENCE & EFFORT

When your character joins, obviously not everyone's going to be friends or enemies with them right off the bat. It doesn't work that way in real life, and it doesn't work that way in this RP. Just stay active, keep commenting on entries, and chances are your character will be making friends in no time. If not, keep trying. That's what effort's all about! =)

DON'T PANIC

Joining a large community can make some people nervous, especially if you don't know anyone. Then you mess up that first post and feel completely embarrassed, right? Don't worry about it! We all do it. Just delete your tag, fix it and maybe add an OOC comment at the bottom. A lot of us laugh about the stupid mistakes we make while posting.

Edit: Cracking a crude joke in chat is probably the best way to break the ice here XD
